You’ve been yoyoing for quite some time now, and have become pretty good with your yo-yo skills. For the past few months, you’ve been toying with idea of creating your own freestyle…YES, it’s time to take it up with the big boys!!!

So how does one create an awesome freestyle??? Freestyles aren’t just a combination of good music and a bunch of yo-yo tricks…a good freestyle takes time and planning, and of course, LOTS of practice.

Generally there are two types of freestyles: Performance & Competition

I can go on all day about how a Performance and Competition freestyle can be worlds apart from each other, as well as how they can be the exact same thing, but it’s just too complicated a topic to discuss.

Instead, today we shall take a look at the basic building blocks of a Competition freestyle, and hopefully from there, you will be able to get started with planning and creating your perfect freestyle, just in time for WCC and maybe even AP!!!!!!

Local Players start practicing…..

In response to the recent comments made by fellow shop owners and concerned parents, we at Spinworkx would like to set some ground rules for those who wish to play outside the Spinworkx store near the Players Cafe.

1. Do not play INSIDE the shop.
2. Bags are not to be left lying around inside the shop, it is unsightly and we are not responsible for stolen items.
3. No sitting in the middle of the shop, please understand that this is a place of business and sitting in the middle of the store only disrupts the shopkeeper’s work.
4. Please respect the space of others, do not block the walkways where customers commute.
5. Refrain from playing near the Dance School, any damages to other shop property will result in severe consequences.
6. Strictly NO SKATEBOARDING is allowed, skating inside Suntec City Mall is forbidden and thus we would like all of you to abide by these rules.
7. DO NOT ENTER THE SHOPKEEPER’S AREA AT ALL TIMES.

Please do co-operate with us on this, it’s good enough that we’ve manage to secure a space inside the mall for you guys to play. Should there be further complains, we’ll have to revert back to the old rule of playing at the Sky Garden once more.

Understand that we like the fact that some of you consider Spinworkx as a second home, but at the end of the day do remember that this is still a store, not a home. =)
