With the Singapore Yo-yo Championships over, its time for a fresh term in the YYAS calender! As they say, the Sun rises in the East, and it is only fitting we begin with the East Side Throwdown 2008!
For the 2nd year having this, We’ve had pretty unpredictable results which goes to show that the competitions at our shores are simply anyone’s to dominate in. Firstly, a big shout out to the underdog turned ROCKSTAR overnight who has made his presence felt in today’s competition by winning two medals, Sean Hung! Also, its been great to have many of the fresh bloods being up there to compete today. These new kids on the block are fearless on stage and only time stands in their way of professional competition supremacy. Next, A big “belt busting, pants dropping, pink string” shout out to Marcus Koh, of Team Spinworkx Extreme, for winning his first ever Championship title. If there was a kid who could stir up a storm in a contest, it’ll be this man with his “hurricanes!”(you gotta see it to know it).
Before signing out from this event, we would like to thank the organizers for this competition…Syafik(Project Head), Nurali, Junjie, Alex,Hakim, Malcolm, Kleaven and Colin.

After a successful run in SYYC 08, the newly reformed Team Spinworkx Extreme are coming down hard on preparations for the coming Asia Pacific Championships 2008. However for some of these guys in black, it’ll be their turn to attain regional pride. With so many uprising talents, this year’s EST is expected to be as unpredictable as how it was the year before. One thing remains for sure, these guys aren’t going away without a good fight for the championship!
So if you’re feeling like vegetating in front of the TV on a sunday afternoon, why not join us at the Suntec City, near the Spinworkx store(#03-021), for a the East Side Throwdown!

Just received news from YoyoJam that our missing shipment was returned to them after there was a mixup in the delivery address. At least it didn’t get lost during transport. We have requested for them to ship out again so the new Meteors are on their way now.
Usually sites will announce in advance on their server migration because they had it planned ahead. We had no intention to migrate servers but we were forced to do so after having problems with our previous webhost. It was a nightmare to find our account suspended and all our email accounts were down. If we can do “rock the baby” with our eyes closed, nothing can be more difficult than that. Our web team worked hard over the past 24 hours to get everything is up and running. Forum is also up so go make some noise in there.
We will continue with adding more features to this site. It is still in alpha stage so expect a lot more changes. Please bear with us during this period.

Asia Pacific Yo-yo Championships is just next month and most of the hotels are either booked or too expensive for some. It is also not feasible as everyone will be out most of the time except in the night where they will bathe and sleep. Some will probably hang out through the night.
We are looking for local players in Singapore who is willing to host one or more foreign players in your home. If you are willing to host. Please use the contact form and send us:
