Some of you may be aware that just last week, Spinworkx’s and Duncan Crew Singapore’s Colin and Roy were invited to China’s annual yoyo contest, one of the most highly anticipated contest in asia besides AP10. We’ve got with us today an article kindly written by local Judge Roy Teo, who has documented the entire trip there, giving us a better insight of the competition as well as his trip in Guangzhou, China!

Ulu Pandan CC will be holding its annual Youth event once again. This time around, Spinworkx has prepared a special show for one and all. We present to you a showdown between the New School and the Old School. Who will be victorious, who will shine, who will face defeat and who will prevail? All these questions will be answered come event day.

The Spinworkx Challenge will be held at Plaza Singapura, near Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station

Details:

Date: 9th July 2010

Time: 6:00pm to 10:00pm

Venue: Outside Plaza Singapura (Right outside Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station)

Payment: SGD$15.00 for Foundation Level, SGD$15.00 for Intermediate Level (Both are one-time payments) to be paid during the event.

Rewards:

Upon completion of the Foundation Level, players will receive a Foundation Badge and Spinworkx T Shirt.

After completing the Foundation Level, you may then proceed to Intermediate Level, where you will receive an Intermediate Badge and Blue-labeled Spinworkx T Shirt (Printing in Progress, this shirt CANNOT be bought, it can only be won) upon completion of all 30 tricks.

As there is no schedule for this event, you may come anytime between 6pm to 10pm to get graded.

The Singapore Yo-Yo Championships 2010 is OVER!!!!!!

Results are out, and all our players did a REALLY GOOD JOB!!!!

Spinner division players, don’t fret! For a first time, all our judges agreed that you guys did really well!!!!!! If you are unclear about the judging system, we will soon be releasing an article to explain it so more of you will be aware of how the system works!

Once more, keep it swinging, and catch you guys in the next regional competition, the Eastern State Throwdown 2010!!!!!!

Last Friday evening, Spinworkx was invited to the official opening of the Singapore Street Festival 2010 held at Scape, Orchard Road.
